New Courting Disaster Question

My husband claims the Pill has made me taste more acidic. I'm not about to change my birth control simply due to taste. How can I cut the acid taste without getting pregnant? --Bitter Pill

Who's Up and Who's Down in Crime (part two)

Solomon Grundy: Formerly a brainless heavy, Grundy has resurfaced in JLA #5 with all the muscles -- plus brains. According to the exposatory dialogue, Grundy changes a little every time he's killed and brought back to life (or, in his case, "undeath").

This time, he has been brought back with a brain. So, instead of being a mindless force of incredible power, he's now somewhat intelligent. Of course, now he's also afraid of being killed again, lest he lose this new gift.

This is reminiscent of when the Hulk gained the ability to use Bruce Banner's mind -- or as comic fans the world over refer to it: "The Day the Hulk Got Boring."

It's no better on Grundy.

Let's hope his ultimate demise is expedited. Then we can get back to what made this character worthwhile: Solomon Grundy SMAYUSH!

Emerald City Comic Con

Emerald City Comic Con is this weekend! I'll be at the Emerald City Comic Con in Seattle on March 31st-April 1st. And so will the creators of the following comics: Sheldon, PvP, Penny Arcade, Starslip, Schlock Mercenary, Real Life, and Unshelved.

I'll be at Booth #306 along with my Blank Label Comics friends: Howard Tayler, Greg Dean, Dave Kellett and Kristofer Straub. According to Scott Kurtz, who is appearing at the con as well, this is a phenomenal comic convention.

I'll also be part of the "Business of Webcomics" panel on Sunday at 4 p.m., along with Khoo from Penny Arcade, PVP's Scott Kurtz, Kristofer Straub of Starslip Crisis, and Jim Barnes from Unshelved.

I'll have copies of Evil Inc Annual Report vol. 1 and Evil Inc Annual Report vol. 2. I'll also bring Courting Disaster, vol. 1 and The Best of Gresytone Inn: Lightning Lady -- and, of course, the VILF shirt. Also, I'll be doing convention sketches and kissing babies.

So bring those babies over. :)
