POLL: City of Heroes comes to Mac!

Friday, January 30, 2009 - 12:00 AM

If you, like me, have been sitting on the sidelines of the City of Heroes / City of Villains world, feeling left out because you own a Mac, it's time to rejoice.

CoH is releasing a verison for Mac. From insidemacgames.com:

Apple recently posted a new trailer for City of Heroes Mac Special Edition, the recently released super-hero themed MMO. The game allows Intel Mac owners to join in the action as a hero or villain. The Mac version features both City of Heroes and City of Villains as well an exclusive Valkyrie costume set.

Now, the bad news, if you've got an older Mac (or an older version of the OS), you're still sidelined like me. It requires a Mac with an Intel processor OS and Mac OS X 10.5.5 Leopard or higher.

Order here.

I'll be picking up mine as soon as I sell enough books to upgrade my system. In the meantime, let me know how it goes.

P.S.: I keep hearing people are playing Evil Inc characters in CoH. I'd love to see some screenshots. And if someone wants to form an official Evil Inc team, I'd be happy to designate server space for an official site/forum for you to use as a base of operations.
POLL: City of Heroes / City of Villains...

44% (214) I play it and I love it!

14% (69) I play it.

4% (21) I never play it, but I'm buying the Mac version

29% (140) Never played it. Never will.

6% (32) Not a gamer.
476 people have voted in this poll. (This poll is not active.)

Courting Disaster: Jan. 30, 2009

Friday, January 30, 2009 - 12:00 AM

Courting Disaster, my weekly comic about sex, love, and relationships updates every Friday. You'll laugh your pants off.

This week's question...

A reader writes... Q: I'm 24 this year, and the last two women I've dated have both been older than me. I was really hoping to have a serious and stable relationship with the latest girl, who is three years older. Unfortunately, she tells me it bothers her that I'm younger. She says it makes her feel insecure. My friends are mostly in their late 20s or 30s because I'm more comfortable with them and share a similar mindset. I've felt a large gap when mixing with people my age. But these older people are mostly attached or married, and sometimes I really feel lonely. What can I do to get back on track to be what I'm supposed to be at my age?

Don't answer here... go on over to the CD site and offer some advice.
