Best of the new trade paperbacks hitting stores this week: Tick Golden Age The Complete Works
They say: NEC's tribute to the Golden Age of comics is back in print at last! Answering the question "What would a Golden Age Tick comic have been like?" this budget-priced "Golden Age style" wide-format squarebound book collects all three 44-page issues of the original full color Tick Golden Age comics, under an all-new cover by master Tick artist Sean Wang! Softcover, 132 pages, full color. I say: I'm happy to see that NEC sems to have gotten past its "Maga Tick" stage and has moved on to greener pastures. The idea of a Golden Age take on the Tick is an awfully good hook, and I remember a lot of the "Tick Golden Age" series quite fondly. This might be a good one for the bookcase.
