It's July, and that means that Comic Con International, the biggest comic convention of the year, is a mere three weeks away. Here's a guide to what to expect if you're coming out to say hello in San Diego San Diego.

I'll be exhibiting along with Dave Kellett at Booth 1228, in Webcomics Pavilion.

Dave and I, along with our pals Kris Straub and Scott Kurtz, will be doing a live version of our popular Webcomics Weekly podcast on Saturday at 5 p.m. in Room 25ABC.

I'll have copies of the latest Evil Inc graphic novel, "Secret Scrawl Invasion," and all of the other Evil Inc collections -- as well as collections from Courting Disaster, Greystone Inn and Phables. If you want all six Evil Inc books, I'll give you Volume One for free.

I'll have high-quality, glossy prints of selected Evil Inc and Courting Disaster comics for $10 apiece, and selected originals from both titles for $80 each. If you have a favorite that you'd like me to bring along, please drop me a line.

The Harvey Awards nominations have been announced, and the Evil Inc family has significant reason to celebrate.

The man who has colored the Evil Inc comic since March 2008 has been nominated in no fewer than three categories for the 2011 Harvey Awards!

Ed Ryzowski has been nominated for Best Colorist, Best Online Comics Work and Best Artist -- all for his work on The Gutters, a sensational send-up of all things super written by Ryan Sohmer.

And in more great news, my good friend Scott Kurtz has received another well-deserved nomination for a Harvey in the Best Online Comics Work category as well. And he's going to be emceeing the event for the third consecutive year.

Now it's time to get busy. Final ballots are due to the Harvey Awards by Saturday, August 6, 2011. Full details for submission of completed ballots can be found on the final ballot. Voting is open to anyone professionally involved in a creative capacity within the comics field. And that includes webcartoonists.
