TWiV: Taking stock of super-villains

Green Goblin Norman Osborne Green Goblin: Last month, TWiV heralded Norman Osborne as one of the most powerful villains in the Marvel Universe. Last week, TWiV has been forced to reconsider.

In recent months, it seemed as if Norman was going to be the key to stopping the Skrull's Secret Invasion. (And, truthfully, TWiV still hold out hope that this will be the case.)

But in Thunderbolts #123, the landlord of Thunderbolts Mountain has been unhinged by a simple gang of a half-dozen Skrulls dressed up as Spider-Men.

Norm: Lex has been trounced by Supes about as many times as Web-head has trumped you. But he doesn't lose it when he sees the red and blue. If you're going to be the Marvel U's Lex, you need to get a handle on that.

Preferably one at the other end of a large ax.

Until then, Osbourne's VQ rating has been devauled from a 10 to an 8. One point deducted for losing his cool, and one point for green-tinged Joker cackling.

POLL: Norman Osbourne's reaction to the Spider-Skrulls...

19% (44) It's a darn, dirty shame. The VQ of an 8 is being kind

17% (41) TWiV got it all wrong, he didn't lose it, he's laughing because he's gonna relish taking down these dill aliens!

62% (144) So what's a little insanity between friends?

Hell, let's face it, we're not responsible for anything; including the things we say, do, or think. And if you sue us because you think we are? Well, we're not responsible for that either.
