Grundy's been a staple longer than that! He was a Golden Age nemesis for Green Lantern (Alan Scott) starting in 1944, and held his own against the entire Justice Society back in 1947 (All Star Comics 33, Feb-Mar 1947).

I really liked the Smart Grundy, he has been dumb for too long and besides since he was ripped in half he will be dead and come back dumb again. It was nice to see what he would do if he was smart (trying to stay alive or dead permenently.) Plus other villians seemed to become smarter, Parasite anyone, same storyline.

Devious: Thanks for the correction... I should know better! :) And, I still say I like the dumb Grundy better. The intelligence just didn't fit him. It's hard to put my finger on it, but it just didn't work on me.
