Elastic Man's New Look
posted Saturday, February 19, 2011 - 05:13 PM (#58353)

As a fan of stretching characters, I especially enjoy the strips that feature Elastic Man. So the latest arc, explaining and exploring his outward appearance, is a much-appreciated look into his character. That he emulates Captain Heroic explains the resemblance; that his "true" appearance resembles a Bop Bag says a lot about his capacity to bounce back from an assault (or, perhaps, a level of self-esteem that orbits "masochism").

But please-oh-PLEASE don't let Lightning Lady choose Keagan as his "new" outward persona. It wouldn't be "good" or "bad," just incredibly creepy and disturbing.

Anyway, I enjoyed Mr. Fantastic's "guest appearance" and eagerly await Monday's strip (or, you know, whenever EM reveals his new look)!

Whew! Interesting new look; weird without being emotionally traumatizing.

Now ... Gotta maintain my momentum on some fan art ...

So . . . he was the size of a pencil, and yet had a full picnic basket inside him?

How is the sandwich intact?

Given what's on his mind, that shouldn't suprise you.

I too have really noticed the new look. The textured with Brad's ink and Ed's coloring has really made the character pop. Easily as impressive as something you'd come across in a big Marvel or DC title. I've always been partial to 'the goofy' superhero. I'm looking forward to seeing where the storyline goes.
