As I mentioned Friday, the latest and greatest Evil Inc graphic novel is being printed and assembled as we speak. Barring any unforeseen complications, I will begin taking orders on this site on Sept. 12.Evil Inc graphic novels are a little different from the standard book-collection of comic strips. I take the individual panels of the daily strip and use them to redesign the story in comic book format -- adding extra panels and other content to make this a completely unique reading experience.
It's something I've been doing since the very first Evil Inc graphic novel, and this book sets a new high-water mark for the technique.
For example, instead of using full-page chapter indicators, this new book uses a new technique based on the comic book "splash page" concept.
Like many of the panels I created to improve the story flow, these Splashes have never been seen before on the Web and are created especially for the book.Along the right-hand side of this post you can see a couple examples of the redesigned pages of the new graphic novel.
