I realize you're already hip-deep in this process, but why not check out indiegogo.com as an alternative? Essentially all these folks are doing is organizing your payments and guaranteeing that you will deliver the goods, and well, we already trust you so if you know someone who could organize taking payments for you (assuming you don't have time to do it) and just run this puppy yourself..? I know I and the rest of us will wait until next year for delivery of whatever you have planned...
