Thanks for the hints about disney... i was planning to go this year with the wife and daughter and was in doubt at what time of the year it would be best (we were undecided if we would go in july/august or december) but if your experience of the week before christmas is typical it would be ideal to us... my sister says that maybe we should wait until my daughter is older so she can enjoy more attractions (she is currently 6) - but if your 6 year old son liked it then she will probably enjoy the trip too... thanks again!
